WeViva provides affordable and accessible fitness and nutrition programs to people in low-income communities throughout Austin. We target adults in the community and accomplish our mission by providing Zumba, yoga, strength training and nutrition classes free and on-site to participants at community organizations and locations that value the health of their community residents. All our group fitness and nutrition classes are free to participants and are bilingual. WeViva aims to remove the barriers that people (mainly women) face when making the decision to prioritize their wellness. In doing so, we not only improve women’s health but produce healthy role models for children and families. WeViva is a Hybrid of English and Spanish–We (community, friends, co-workers) and Viva (Spanish for live or life). Our name symbolizes our commitment to bringing life, wellness, and activity to the communities we serve.
